We're searching for a Ministry Program Manager who will have opportunity to develop, implement, and manage all ministry programs in Dominica. As Ministry Program Manager, you will provide technical support to local churches including biblical literacy and knowledge, leadership, and capacity building. Help demonstrate the love of Christ in a tangible way by serving as our Ministry Program Manager to an island devastated by Hurricane Maria!

The job:

  • Support all ministry projects in country to ensure alignment with Samaritan’s Purse Dominica strategy
  • Empower and provide technical support to the national staff at each field location
  • Create and implement a church outreach program
  • Research and design a program that will motivate churches to more fully live out their God-given roles in their congregations and communities
  • Develop relationships with local church leaders
  • Support teaching and the building up of the church congregations
  • Assist in local church ministry development and strategy
  • Manage ministry program budget and inventory, procurement plans, and purchase lists
  • Provide reports for field expenses, cash requests, and monthly cash forecasts
  • Coordinate the movement of necessary materials to the appropriate sites
  • Produce accurate and timely reports, as well as compile monthly/quarterly/annual/final project reports for all ministry programs
  • With a generous and serving spirit perform all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Samaritan’s Purse
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors, and volunteers
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public
  • Assess, manage, and report critical physical, emotional, or spiritual concerns of supervised staff

The requirements:

  • Proven church partnership leadership and management experience
  • Proven experience working with church structures and building inter-church coalitions
  • Extensive international and cross-cultural working experience
  • Strong planning, organizing, budgeting, communication and strategy formulation skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be a humble team player
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Understanding of local culture is essential
  • Knowledge of computer systems and its applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle on rough roads and through extremely muddy conditions

Samaritan's Purse Mission Statement:

Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
